CLIQ Connect Keys utilise Bluetooth low energy technology in the key. This allows the key to be remotely updated via the CLIQ Connect mobile application. Updating the key via the CLIQ Connect app is comparable to updating the key in a Wall Programming Device. So your mobile phone, the CLIQ Connect app and a CLIQ Connect key replaces your standard CLIQ key and a Wall Programming Device. Note, you need network coverage to update the key via the CLIQ Connect app.

It is also possible to enable a PIN code activation feature. PIN code activations can be done without mobile network coverage. This provides an additional layer of security since the key will automatically become inactive after for example 1h (activation time is defined by the end user) after the PIN code was entered. This reduces the risk when a key is lost or stolen since the key will in this case be unusable within an hour.
